He can’t perform well in bed —Wife —Wife
An office assistant, Mrs Grace Oguche-Madu, has urged an Agege Customary Court in Lagos State, to dissolve her seven-year-old marriage over alleged inability of her husband to satisfy her sexually.
Twenty-four-year-old Grace, who resides at No. 6, Church Street., Bariga, Lagos State, also alleged thather husband, Maxwell Madu, 40, is not man enough to impregnate a woman.’
“Since I got married to him, I have not enjoyed sex; he does not perform well in bed.
“It was by grace that we had our only child,” she said.
Grace also accused her husband of maltreating her, adding that he had not been providing for his family.
“Anytime I return from work, he accuses me of lateness and calls me a prostitute.
“Since he became jobless, I have shouldered the responsibilities of providing clothes and food and paying our child’s school fees.
“There is no point managing the marriage; I want the court to dissolve the union and grant me thecustody of our child,” she said.
In his response, Maxwell, a businessman, said that since he lost his job, his wife had taken to adultery.
“She is never satisfied in bed, even ifwe go five rounds, she will still ask for more.
“My wife keeps late nights, flirts around with different men and, at times, does not come home after work,’’ he said.
Maxwell said, however, that he was willing to live with Grace, if she could change her behaviour.
The court president, Mr Emmanuel Sokunle directed both parties to maintain the peace, and adjourned the case to June 11, for judgment.

Pregnant Woman Sold Unborn Baby For N200,000
A 23-year-old pregnant woman, Adaeze Mba, caused a stir at the Lagos State Police headquarters on Thursday after she confessed that she had sold her unborn baby for N200,000, in advance:
“I am seven months pregnant and as I speak to you, my husband has already sold our unborn baby for N200,000. I wasagainst it but he convinced me to agree to it, saying he had already collected the money.”
She and her husband also sold their neighbour's son for N400,000 and escaped...
The woman, who was arrested for conniving with her husband to sell their neighbour’s four-year-old son for N400,000, said it was poverty that pushed them to crime. She confessed that she and her husband had sold two other children for N700,000.
She said, “In March 2013, my neighbour’s son, Stanley Ezeaka, was following me about in the compound at Jakande Estate andit was at that time that my husband received a phone call from his partner that she neededa child for sale. My husband then suggested that we took Stanley even though he was a bit old.
“We travelled to Imo State the following morning and sold him for N400,000 after which we relocated to Calabar.”
When asked about the other children she and her husband, Chibueze, had sold, she said, “Themale child was sold at N400,000 while the female child, who was two months old but is now over a year old, was sold at N300,000.”
The husband, Chibueze, on his part, said he went into the business last year. He said he hadsold ‘only’ three children to his business partner, Madam Benedicta Ogbonna.
He said, “One of the children was born by a mentally challenged woman; so I have committed no crime by selling the child to people who would take care of her.”
Ogbonna, who bought the three children from Chibueze and his wife at different times, said she sold children to barren couples.
She said, “I am doing this business for humanitarian reasons and not for monetary gain. I am 35 years old and I have four children. I can never sell my own children and in fact my husband does not know I aminto this kind of business.
“Chibueze brought Stanley to meand told me that his mother wasa prostitute so he sold him to meat N400,000. I then sold Stanley to Mrs. Patricia Anibogwu for N600,000. So far, I have sold onlythree children. I buy boys at N400,000 and girls at N300,000.
“I use the money to take care of people and also invest it in my business. I sell shoes for a living at Anambra Wholesale Market.”
Anibogwu, who was the final buyer, said she thought Ogbonnawas an employee of an orphanage. She said she bought Stanley because she was lonely having lost her husband.
She said amid tears that, “I was married for 28 years without a child. After my husband died, I decided to adopt the child because I was lonely. Someone introduced me to Ogbonna. Ogbonna told me she worked at an orphanage and would sell Stanley to me for N600,000.
“I used my savings to pay for him and she brought Stanley to aroadside. I took Stanley home and started taking care of him like my own child. I changed his name to Uchenna. Ogbonna promised me that she would give me legal documents later but, unfortunately, I was arrested.”
Parents have been advised to be vigilant and childless women tooare urged to go through the formal process of adoption rather than buying children fromjust anyone.
ollynation.blogspot.Com gathered that all those involved in the dirty business will appear in court for trial

Mr. Balogun said in March 2013, the suspect duped one reverend father (name withheld) of his Honda Accord 2007 model by lying to his younger sister that he would marry her. She then introduced him to the reverend and he prayed for them.
The suspect later told the Reverend Father that he was a car dealer to which the Reverend toldhim he wanted to sell his car. The suspect allegedly collected the carto sell in Lokoja; but ran away with the car in March.
Mr. Balogun said efforts to reach the suspect had been futile until he was arrested in Akure.

Mr. Balogun said after meeting the girl, he passed the night in her house. During the night, the suspect checked her phone and found out that she had money in her account; he pleaded with her to lend him N850,000 to clear some of his goods at the port in Lagos, the civil defence said.

Mr. Bamidele said the rate at which people have been duped on social network recently has been on the increase and chargedwomen to be careful with the useof social network.

Dead Man Wakes Up At His Funeral, accept Jesus to avoid hell fire
Mourners at a funeral in Zimbabwe were stunned when the dead man woke up as they filed by his coffin, state media reported today.
Brighton Dama Zanthe, 34, was being laid to rest inside a coffin last Monday after he apparently died at his home following a long illness.
The transport worker's grieving family covered his body with blankets and made arrangements to transfer him to a local mortuary, according to a report in the Herald newspaper.
But the next day Mr Zanthe's friends and relatives scattered in disbelief when he started moving as they filed past to say their emotional goodbyes.
The dead man's boss Lot Gaka told the Herald of the moment he realised his employee was still alive.
He said: 'I was the first to notice Zanthe's moving legs as I was in the queue to view his body. This shocked me.
'At first I could not believe my eyes but later realised that there was indeed some movements onthe body as other mourners retreated in disbelief.'
Mr Gaka, who runs a bus company in the midlands city of Gweru, told the newspaper Mr Zanthe had been persistently unwell before his 'death' last week.
He told how he visited the family's home to offer support when his employee's wife called to say he had passed away.
He said: 'Zanthe had been on sickleave for some time and everyone at work was aware that he was critical.
'We would visit him at his home.
'I was not surprised when I received a call from Zanthe's wifeon Monday night last week saying that her husband had died.'
He added: 'I visited two local funeral parlours for quotations before I drove to Zanthe's house so that we could take the body to the mortuary.
'Zanthe's body had already been put in a coffin and people were preparing to conduct a body viewing procession so that his body could be taken to a mortuary.
'It was during the body viewing procession that he "resurrected".'
Another witness told the state-controlled newspaper how the family desperately pulled blankets off Mr Zanthe's body to try to revive him after realising he was still alive.
He said: 'Gaka later removed some blankets from Zanthe's body after we noticed some movements and this was when we all realised that there was still life.
'We then called an ambulance which came within seven minutes.
'It's really a miracle and most people are still in disbelief.'
The Herald, which is owned by Zimbabwe's government, reported that Mr Zanthe spent two days on life support after being rushed to the Gweru Provincial Hospital following the incident.
He was discharged last week andhas since returned home.
The shaken family man told the newspaper he had only a hazy recollection of the event.
He said: 'This issue can be best told by people who came to my house to attend my funeral.
'I don't know what happened and I only remember being on a life support system in hospital.'
He added: 'Everything is history to me.
'What I can only confirm is that people gathered at my house to mourn but I was given another chance and I am alive. I feel okaynow.'

Nigerian Actor Lere Paimo Arrested In Ibadan, Blames Jide Kosoko & ANTP For His Arrest
Last week Thursday in Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria, veteran Yoruba actor Lere Paimo popularly called Eda Onileola was arrested for contempting a court order.
Lere Paimo allegedly refused to show up at a court in Ilorin over a case brought against him by ANTP (Association of Nigerian Theatre Practitioners) over a presidential election of the group that returned Comrade Victor Ashaolu as the President in 2010.
Upon his arrest, Lere Paimo told the officer who arrested him of his health problem. He begged the officer to allow him to come to the court later.
When the actor insisted that he needed medical help, which eventually convinced the officer of the seriousness of the actor’s situation, he took him to a police clinic in Ibadan for medical attention.
Eda was admitted for a day and was taken to Ilorin the next day to face contempt charge brought against him.
After a lot of pleading, he was released and allow to return to Ibadan.
According to ANTP Lawyer, the veteran actor who is diabetic might die in prison if he is eventually jailed.
It was learnt that Eda Onileola was diabetic. According to the lawyer:
“I have explained baba’s condition to the court and he was allowed to go back home. He actually could have been jailed if not for his ill health. As regards his final freedom though, it is only the court that can decide that” . said ANTP lawyer
Lere Paimo blamed Jide Kosoko for his arrest.
“I know those behind my problem now, especially Jide Kosoko. I will not forgive them even if I am asked to, because my spirit will not forgive me if I do what you asked as regards forgiving them if they ask me to,” .
In his response to Lere Paimo’s claim that Jide Kosoko ordered his arrest from Lagos, Kosoko said;
“ With due respect to Baba Eda, who I hold dearly, I am not behind his legal problems or any other problems he is going through. Someone sued those who conducted an election a court had earlier instructed that should not be held and baba is now blaming me. I am not the court. A court issued a bench warrant for his arrest, not me, not ANTP.

Court Sends 20 Students To Prison Over Murder Of Lecturer
Twenty students of the Kogi StatePolytechnic have been remanded in prison custody by a Lokoja Magistrates Court over rioting andmurder of a senior lecturer of the institution, Mr Nathaniel Abimaje.
During the court session yesterday, the police prosecutor, Samuel Ikutanwa, told the court that on April 19, the accused persons incited some unidentifiedstudents of the institution to riot over the setting up of a panel to look into the case of a student who was involved in examinationmalpractice.
He told the court that the accusedpersons were armed with dangerous weapons such as axes, guns and cutlasses. He further alleged that the students went onrampage and stabbed Abimaje severally.
“They were protesting the settingup of a panel to look into the caseof examination malpractice. During the rampage, the accused beat and stabbed Abimaje severally and left him in a pool of his blood. The lecturer was rushedto the Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, but died before he could receive medical attention,” Ikutanwa said.
The prosecutor said investigation revealed that a long-standing dispute between Igala and Ebira students in the institution also fuelled the crisis. He urged the court to remand the accused in prison custody.
The accused persons who were charged with criminal conspiracy, inciting disturbance of public peace, rioting and culpable homicide, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Counsel to the accused, J.E. UsmanEsq. asked the court to exercise itsdiscretion and grant the accused bail on the ground that an accused is presumed innocent until proven otherwise.
In his ruling Chief Magistrate Levi Animoku said the offence of culpable homicide which the accused were charged with carries death penalty under Section 221 of the Penal Code andwas not bailable.
He said he had no discretion to exercise in the matter as the offence was a capital one, adding that Section 35(7)(a) of the 1999 constitution provides that presumption of innocence was not absolute, especially in a case of culpable homicide. Animoku ordered that the accused be remanded at Federal Prisons, Kabba, and adjourned the case to May 21 for further mention.

“Akinyemi was not even aware that I had a knife on me when I forcefully had sex with her.”
The police said Anuoluwapo used the knife to cut Akinyemi’s throat and later had sex with her while she bled.
But the estranged lover claimed that she was still alive when he had sex with her on the couch in the sitting room.
Unknown to Anuoluwapo, some neighbours had seen him while he was sneaking into the house. It was gathered that Akinyemi’s corpse was discovered at about 4pm by her mother and siblings when they returned home.

“He said each time; Anuoluwapo would get people from her community or the mosque where she worshipped to plead with her.”
No one knew where Anuoluwapo lived or worked. He had recently relocated from his home at SegunKehinde Street, Ogijo to the PZ estate. Eventually one of the residents was said to have revealed Anuoluwapo’s place of work.

Blackberry Device Faces Ban in Nigeria - NCC Stated
Blackberry services could be at risk of being banned in the country as a new regulation by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, will run counterto the technical operating standards of the phone’s distinct network.
National Mirror exclusively gathered yesterday that the telecoms regulator was working on a regulation, which would make it mandatory for any licensee in the nation’s telecoms market to provide access to its communications facilities for necessary interception by the law enforcement agencies.
To be called ‘Lawful interception of communications regulations”, the regulation, which is currently at the draft stage, is based on the need to provide a legal and regulatory framework for the lawful interception of communications in Nigeria and the collection and disclosure of intercepted communication.
It will also specify the nature and types of communications to be intercepted; prescribe penalties for noncompliance with the regulations; provide a notificationto the commission of all warrants issued, amended, renewed or cancelled under the regulations aswell as ensure the privacy of subscribers as contained in the Nigerian constitution. It was gathered that Section 13 of the regulation Protected or EncryptedCommunications will run counter to the technical operations of Blackberry.
By their designs and unlike other mobile devices, Blackberry messages are encrypted and where criminal investigation is required, the law enforcement agents will face denial of access to Blackberry network.
Specifically, Section 13 of the regulation empowers the National Security Adviser, NSA, and the State Security Service, SSS,to request the disclosure of protected or encrypted communications.
According to the regulation: “Where the communications intercepted is an encrypted or protected communication, the licensee shall provide the National Security Adviser and the State Security Service with the key, code or access to the protected or encrypted communication.
“Where the key or code is in the possession of another person, the licensee shall be under an obligation to request such other person to disclose the key or codeto the National Security Adviser and the State Security Service for the purpose of complying with a warrant.” The regulation, under Section 20, also specifies the penalties for contravention.
However, Blackberry messenger, email and web services are sent over an encrypted network and the company maintains a strict policy of non-disclosure of pass codes or keys to government officials.
Last year, officials of Blackberry said the Blackberry users in Nigeria were about three million and these individuals face an uncertain future in case of possible revocation of Blackberry licence by the regulator, given its stern position not to release the key to its encrypted network to any government officials.
Blackberry has continued to face widespread concern over its strong data encryption, which is beloved by corporate customers eager to guard secrets, but troublesome for some governments in the Middle East and Asia that it could be used by militants to avoid detection.
It also gathered that the NCC’s current move was in line with strategic measures of the Federal Government to ensure maximum national security by providing a legal framework that empowers the law enforcements agencies toaccess any licensed communication network in the country

Man Runs Amok In Lagos Stabbing People at Sight
Hell was let loose recently in Lagos when a 30-year-old man identified as Kehinde Akinpelu ranamok, armed with a sharp knife, threatening to kill anybody at sight.
The incident which took place at Oloja area of Bariga in Lagos made people living in the street to scamper for safety in different directions.
Unfortunately, a 69-year-old woman, Titilayo Adekoya who lives at number 27 in that street could not escape before the man pounced on her and stabbed her severally. It took the timely intervention of a team of policemen on patrol and agile neighbours to stop the man from severing her body into pieces.
The daughter of the victim, Adebimpe Adekoya, a nurse, told Crime Alert that her mother escaped being butchered by whiskers that fateful day. According to her, “I was seated with my mother at the corridor ofour apartment around 12noon that fateful day, when all of a sudden, a man we later got to know as Kehinde Akinpelu, ran into the compound holding a sharp knife in one of his hands and shouting, ‘I will kill every body here today’.
In confusion, everyone around scampered for safety and I joined them. But it was rather late for my aged mother who was tired as a result of the fasting she was about concluding. The man caught up with her and before anyone could come to her aid, he pushed her to the floor and stabbed her at the back of her lefthand.
He was about stabbing her further but for the timely intervention of some men in the neighborhood who quickly organized themselves and came to her rescue.
Otherwise, it would have been a different story because from the way he held her to the floor, he was actually bent on stabbing herto death.
The men caught up with him, held him down, and disarmed him; it was a big struggle for them but they managed to overpower him. Luckily, for us, some police men were patrolling the area, so we called their attention to the situation on ground. They came and the man was handed over to them, while Mama was rushed to a nearby clinic.”
Wondering what could be the motive behind Kehinde’s action that very day, Bimpe stated, “thatday was the first time I set my eyes on him, no member of this family knew him before then, my brother was also around that veryday, none of us knew him before that day, so his actions left every one wondering.
It was after he was arrested that some members of his family wentto the police station where he is being detained to plead for leniency in handling the case, saying that he is a marijuana addict and mentally deranged butthe police told them to produce a medical prove to that effect before their plea can be considered. Since then, they have not provided any.
Dangote Secures $4.25 BillionLoan To Build Refinery In Nigeria
Mr Dangote who was speaking on the side lines at the on-going World Economic Forum on Africa in Cape Town South Africa, said the loan was secured from “two offshore banks and some Nigerian banks.”
Nigeria, a member of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, (OPEC) imports about 70 per cent of the oil products it needs to meet domestic requirements.
The nation’s four refineries process less than the 445,000 barrels a day of capacity owing to aging infrastructure and poor maintenance.
The country exports about four times that volume in crude oil.
Dangote announced in April, plans to invest up to $8 billion tobuild a Nigerian oil refinery with a capacity of around 400,000 barrels a day by late 2016.

Osun Delegation Joins Cubans,Other Nationals To Celebrate Workers Day
It was an exciting and blissful moment for the Osun delegates in Cuba that participated in the International Workers’ Day Brigade held at the Freedom Square, Havana, the capital of the country, last Wednesday.
More than 42 countries from all the continents in the world came to participate in the 2013 May Day celebration with fanfare, according to the Institute Cuban Amistad Conlos Pueblos (ICAP).
The State of Osun has 100 delegatesas participants at the colourful event.
The delegation from the State of Osun led by the Special Assistant to Governor Rauf Aregbesola on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Honourable Bisi Odewumi, saw the rally as a real affirmation of the loveand patriotism that Ogbeni Aregbesola is trying to engender in the people of the state.
Smiles and joyful look on the faces of the Cuban people expressed their contentment, discipline and happiness in the celebration of the Workers’ Day, just as all commercial activities were closed for the whole day for the celebration.
The May Day had over 1.8 million workers, who officially registered to take part in the colourful and symbolic rally, witnessed by nationals from other parts of the world.
As early as 2.00 am local time (7.00 am Nigerian time), people from all over the world, were already moving to the venue of the event slated to commence at 7.30am. Vehicular and human traffic became thick for several hours.
With flags, placards and leaflets in their hands, the Cubans communicated to the world, the love, loyalty and patriotism reigningin them and the support for the government of the country.
The arrival of the Cuban President, Comrade Raul Castro some few minutes to 7:00am signalled the official commencement of the well-attended rally.
The President attended it just like any other worker in Cuba, as it was completely devoid of government’s involvement, but rather the affairs of the Cuban labour union.
The President of the union mountedthe podium to address the mammoth crowd at exactly 7:30am for a ceremony that lasted almost two hours.
In his May Day rally speech, he saw it as an opportunity to thank and appreciate the government of Cuba, as well as advanced the need for theCuban government not to relent in its agitation to get five of its citizenscurrently being detained by the US government to be released with immediate effect.
It was a remark that drew thunderous applauds and acceptance, as the Cubans collectively in one voice saw it as the only germane issue, despite several others before the Cubans.
The State of Osun governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has congratulated the Cuban President and the entire people of Cuba on the successful hosting of this year’s Workers’ Day in Cuba.
Governor Aregbesola’s message wasconveyed to the Cuban government through the Head of Osun delegation to Cuba, Honourable Odewumi.
Odewumi said he was not surprised by the passion and commitment of the Cubans, because over the years, they have always been in the fore-front of championing the genuine concept of democracy.
He therefore, on behalf of the Government of the State of Osun, charged the over 100 contingents from the state to Cuba to go back home to replicate the sense of love, passion and patriotism, as displayedby the Cubans before, during and after the Labour Day celebration.
The uniformity of the vests, flags and banners used by the workers added colour to the event as they matched steadily in front of the millions of people standing at the freedom square.
Unlike any other parts of the country, the workers used the occasion to solidarise with the government and called for the release of the five Cuban citizens being detained by the US, instead of calling for the increment in their salaries.
All the umbrella bodies of the workers displayed their professions at the event with series of activities, just as children and the handicappedalso participated at the event.
Students and security officers, including the military men were notleft out in the celebration match.
Commenting on the event, Odewumi said: “There is joy being one of the delegates to watch this year’s celebration of Workers’ Day inCuba. We can see the Cubans solidarising with their people, whichsymbolizes their love for their country.
“The Workers’ Day in Cuba has no replication in any other part of the world. The Cubans show their patriotism, nationalism and loyalty for their country.
The celebration also indicates the concern and care of government for the people.
In his comment, the lawmaker representing Ife- Central in the OsunState House of Assembly, Honourable Adetilewa Sijuwade said: “Cubans appreciate their country. It means the government has done a lot for them on welfare. There is patriotism and discipline which is lacking in Nigeria.”

How husband allegedly slaughtered his wife in Lagos
ENDURANCE Agbobonye-Ajisegiri, a native of Uro Ivrogbo Iri in Isoko South Local Council of Delta State was enjoying a blossoming career inSpeech Writing.
In fact, she had concluded plans to pay for a Sports Utility Van (SUV) at the car dealer’s place as a surprise gift for her husband, when the same man sent her to her early grave with a knife, which he used to slice her throat.
But for the quick intervention of the Medical Doctor of the hospital who prevailed on the police from Shasha Division to arrest him, her husband, the prime suspect, who is now in the cell of the homicide unit of the State’s Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba Lagos alongside his mother and sister, would have escaped the wrath of the law, when Endurance finally gave up the ghost at the hospital.
Unaware that danger lurked ahead, Endurance, who left her husband’s home following a feud between the duo, had innocently followed his spouse’s friend to make peace with the man she loved when the said man suddenly turned against her the next day and allegedly sliced her to death.
Endurance’s father, Elder Johnson Agbobonye, who is very distressed over his daughters’ demise, told The Guardian that he was yet to believe his daughter, whom he described as “the breadwinner of my family” has been sent to the great beyond by a wicked husband.”
Elder Agbobonye narrated how the feud between Endurance, a Speech Writing Consultant and Managing Director of Speech Transition Company Limited and her husband, a native of Kogi State, began.
According to the 68-year-old man: “ I was not at home when it happened. I was at the sea side, andso they called me.
On Saturday April 13, a friend of my daughter’s husband came to our house to come and carry Endurance, my daughter so that they could go and meet the husband for settlement over the quarrel between them. He did not meet her in our house here; he had to go to her office to carry her to the husband’s place. My daughter quarrelled with her husband, which we settled. The following day, the young man sent me a text telling me he was not satisfied with the settlement. Immediately, I called mydaughter to stay away from him, because the content of the message he sent to me showed that he did not love her and did not want her.”
He continued: “I warned her not to go to him. It was this friend of my daughter’s husband that put pressure on her and carried her to the man on Saturday, April 13 when I was not at home, at about 2.00p.m., on the ground that they wanted to settle the matter. The next day, I received a shocker from the husband, who called to say we should come to the hospital that Endurance had killed herself. Immediately, I started coming from Ibeju Lekki Local Council. Before I got here, the Doctor had already called the police from Shasha Police Station to arrest the suspect.”
“The doctor saw that it was a pure case of murder because my daughter’s throat was sliced. They took me to where my daughter’s body was laid and I started crying. I wept uncontrollably, I could not control myself. The father of the man who killed my daughter is fromKogi State, he is a son to a professor,” Endurance’s father lamented.
Explaining the details of the quarrel, which his family was trying to manage, the elder said: “There was a woman at the centre of this wholequarrel. She was a staff working for my daughter. My daughter brought her up in her company Speech Transition Limited and this same lady started having a carnal affair with her husband, so my daughter sacked the lady from the company. It was the sack that led to the hatred by her husband.”
“My daughter usually trained speechwriters for companies and schools. She brought her husband into the business. She left her husband’s place and ran to her sister’s place since the man turned her to a punching bag because of another woman. She was the breadwinner of our family. Her 57-year- old mother cannot sleep even as I am talking to you now. What will make me feel satisfied in this matter is for justice to be done . I want the man and his family to feel the pain my family and I are feeling now,” he said.
Her elder sister, Mercy Amadi told The Guardian that she was yet to believe that her sister was dead.
“I cannot accept that. I am yet to believe that someone my sister callsher husband has taken my sister’s life. She was a vibrant and intelligent young lady. When my sister saw a cockroach in the bathroom, she would run out of the house, that was the person they hadkilled. I refuse to accept that! Look at her three-year-old daughter, she is with me now.

Pastor Caught By Wife SleepingWith Church Member During Counselling
35-year-old Pastor Segun Fasina on Monday pleaded with an Orile-Agege Customary Court in Lagos to dissolve his four-year-old marriage over wife’s alleged wayward life.
But his wife fired back in court, disclosing that Pastor Segun is an adulterous man and that she caught him in the act with a female church member, who came for counseling, on their matrimonial bed.
“My husband is adulterous. He counsels his church members at home, and I discovered that most of them are ladies. He was inside the room counseling a woman one day when I dashed in.
“To my surprise, my husband and the woman were both naked in our bed. My husband beat me and threw me out of the house. WhenI reported the case to his father, the man said, I should not disturb his son."
Pastor Segun of No. 4 Moses St., Alagba, Orile-Agege, Lagos had told the court that his wife, Abosede, had lost her sense of dignity, and is now smoking and drinking alcohol. He also accused her of being a gossip and troublesome woman.
“My wife, Abosede, possesses all the bad habits one can think of. She was accused of stealing a phone in our house. I believed she actually stole it because of her behaviour. She goes to other co-tenants’ apartments to gossip. And whenever there is any fight in the house, my wife’s name is always mentioned.
“As a pastor, I have prayed for herdeliverance from the evil acts but my effort was in vain,” he claimed.
Insisting that his wife must go forhim to start afresh, Pastor Segun saud, “Since the marriage is childless, we owe ourselves nothing. So, I want the court to dissolve the union.”
Abosede however denied all the allegations and pleaded with the court not to allow her husband make a divorce at such a young age.
The court warned them to maintain the peace till May 10 when it would give judgement.
