KQ Entertainment gave followers an update on the status of the legal action filed against a fraudulent YouTube channel on August 17.
On this day, the organization declared:
Greetings from KQ Entertainment.
We would like to inform you that KQ Entertainment filed a lawsuit against a YouTube user who posted malicious content about our artist ATEEZ on August 16 for violating the laws governing the use of communications networks and the protection of information, including slander, defamation of character, interference with business, and infringement of copyrights. There have been filed as evidence all documents related to this matter.
In addition to promoting inflated content as if it were based on true information, this YouTuber also profited directly from such criminal activities. KQ Entertainment had to take stern legal action in response to this YouTube channel's denigration of fans' affection and support for ATEEZ in particular.
In the past, the contentious YouTube channel "Sojang," popular among K-Pop fans for spreading false stories, accused ATEEZ of treating fans who came to the taping of the "2022 Idol Star Athletics Championship" "cheaply."
