Ecobank Sacked 147 Workers; Diamond Bank Fired 2000 Staff

It is sad news again for the bankers workers again in Nigeria, Thousand of banker are now out of jobs According to news going viral now, two top trouble banks, Ecobank and Diamond bank plc have laid off thousands of their workers. In early May, over 147 staff were sacked from Ecobank after they’re tagged as non-performing workers. The laid off employees of the Ecobank find the non-performinglabel offensive and have vowed to sue the bank. In another development, Diamond bank have fired 2000 staff over low patronage. The sacked employees of Diamond bank were not given any notice…They were surprised to hear that the bank no longer needs their service. The employees stormed the premises of Diamond bank in Abuja on May 15th to protest their lay off. There is nothing like having a business of your own in any country you find yourself. Hope those workers can find something to sustain themselvesin the main time.

Wasiu Alabi Pasuma Attacked By Armed Robbers – Car Stolen At Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway

On Monday night, some armed robbers attacked popular Fuji Musician Wasiu Alabi popularly called Pasuma on Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway very close to Ahmadiyya. We learnt the 9-man robbery gang snatched Pasuma’s SUV with plate #MUS 830AP. He was also robbed of several multi-million naira valuables. According to reports, the attacked happened in the presence of a friendas they head down to a show. The robbers we learnt kidnapped the Fuji star for over 3 hours. He was driven around town for 3 hours before being dumped at a bush very close to Ota in Ogun State. According to a friend of Pasuma who witnessed the robbery, the masked robbers attacked him at around 9pm on Monday. “ On Monday night, Pasuma was on his way to perform at a party but on getting to Ahmadiyya, he was attacked and the culprits took all his money and his mobilephones. His friend, who was in the car with him, was robbed as well. “The robbers then took control and drove Pasuma around for about three hours. While he was in their custody, Pasuma hid his face from them so the robbers did not know he was the one. When it was about 12 midnight, they dumped him and his friend in a bush at Itele area of Ogun State.” – said a friend As we speak, an official report has been filed at a local police station in the area. Efforts are being made to recover the stolen SUV and arrest the robbers.
